Meet The Author
Anthea M. Maseka
Anthea Maseka was a teacher for many years, and she still enjoys working with children whenever she has the opportunity. An avid reader and a passionate writer, she keeps a journal that she updates almost daily. She was inspired to write Mama, My Hero by witnessing her daughter-in-law, who was expecting her first child during the COVID-19 pandemic, while working as an ICU nurse, and the bravery and determination she displayed.
In addition, Maseka has written three works of fiction, including Chembe, Butemwe, and The Chali Family—in the I Am a Warrior Series, which she co-authored with her sister.
Maseka lives in Alberta, Canada, with her husband. They have four adult children, a daughter in-law, and a grandson.
